Cars get dirty. We drive them around on dirty roads, bird droppings and tree sap fall on the paint, and let's not get started on how dirty the inside can get. Having your car detailed on a regular basis ensures that it always looks its best while protecting both interior and exterior surfaces.
Car washes can be a quick fix to make a car look clean but it doesn't really do a thorough job. In addition, if you take your car through a car wash that uses those giant brushes, the clear coat of your car is actually getting scratched by the bristles. Not to mention, the interior of your car isn't really getting cleaned either. A car wash takes 5 minutes, a full detail takes 2.5 - 3 hours.
On average, it will take 2.5 - 3 hours to detail a vehicle for the first time. If regular maintenance is performed, that time can be shortened down to 1.5-2 hours depending on the condition of the vehicle.
The short answer is no. However, we believe that there is much benefit to being a certified detailer. This ensures that proper care and knowledge is being utilized while cleaning and restoring each vehicle we detail. Loris has attended a specialized car detailing course and is certified by the International Detailing Association (IDA).
